In the 1970s, under the guidance of coach Ladislav Németh, Red Star FC enjoyed considerable success, consistently remaining in Division 1. The 1974-75 season was particularly noteworthy, with a third-place finish in the league and qualification for the UEFA Cup, now the Europa League. Iconic players such as Delio Onnis contributed to this success, establishing the club as one of the best of that era. Despite financial challenges, Red Star left a lasting mark as a competitive and respected club in the history of French football during the 1970s.
