In March, make way for showers of photos!
As March rolls in with its share of hailstones and alternating sun-rain-sun-rain-sun, we invite you to take a little break and dive into the photographic universe of the So Foot editorial team through four new photos sometimes aesthetic, sometimes historical, always mythical.
With already the first photo, the one you choose via the vote in story on our Instagram @ sofoot . Yes, for those who missed it, the store's account has been switched to that of So Foot so that you can best follow the football news at the same time as that of our magnificent store! We therefore offered you a return to basics with these two black and white match audience photos.
For the rest, the editorial journalists agreed on Michel Platini playing a tennis ball, the team in the semi-final contested by Saint-Etienne in 1976 and the aerial view of a lost stadium in the Faroe Islands
We don't change anything about good habits, all these beautiful photos are available in very limited edition since March 1st at midnight .
We also take this opportunity to present to you our new boxes of Copa socks + very stylish magazines (or books) , with collector's Maradona and 90's goalkeeper jersey style , among others.
That's what we love about football : no matter where you are, if you want to play football, you can. And this picture stadium football field Eiði on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean , located in the Faroe Islands, is the perfect example. It's in the middle of nowhere, but if a tourist gets lost there, he can get a few shots in the net . Of course, we are not going to lie to you, the conditions for playing on this field are catastrophic because it is subject to constant wind and some splashes due to ocean waves. Reason why, during its construction, the Faroese installed a synthetic pitch rather than grass. Moreover, for an anecdote, today it is possible to rent the land and to set up your caravan there to stay there during your holidays!
We go back to good old habits with black and white photography. And as you saw above, it was the Instagram vote. Your vote. And it seems that its aesthetic as well as funny side of these supporters crowded together and for some perched on chairs or benches to watch the victory of their Dynamo Dresden team in the DDR Oberliga tipped the scales (as much as it made us crack up ) facing the cliché between light and shadow of Munich supporters. And we understand you. We did a little internal poll in the editorial office and this photo from the stands of the 1975 match between SGDD and FC Carl Zeiss Jena won all the votes.
Collector's boxes with socks:
A word before leaving to tell you about our collector's boxes with Copa socks. The Dutch brand makes iconic jerseys ( which we also sell in boxes ), but not only. Their footwear (sic) is so changed that we decided to offer them in limited edition with some of our best books or magazines, when these have a link. We therefore present to you our box set soberly entitled "Goalkeepers of the 90's" 🧤
Another little nugget imagined just for you: this Diego Maradona box set with socks with the designs of his most emblematic jerseys. Argentina of course, Boca obviously and Napoli necessarily. All complemented by the 484-page tribute magazine that we released on the day of his death.
Finally we fell in love with their socks in the colors of the national selections. You will find England , Germany , Belgium , Italy and therefore the Netherlands. Classy, isn't it?
