The April Newsletter
IN APRIL, COVER YOUR LIVING ROOM WELL WITH FRAMES! AND YOU SON...
It's spring ! The season of major cleaning. So why not take the opportunity to also clean your walls and replace the decor with brand new and beautiful limited edition football frames.
This month, we offer you four new photos, full of colors, stories, some stunning, others soothing. There is Cristiano Ronaldo from the Real Madrid era, Ronnie from Paris SG, David "El Magnifico" Ginola and an English bench in winter, everything that is most romantic.
But that's not all, we also suggest you renew your t-shirt wardrobe. We have in fact released no less than four new visuals in recent weeks. With only big names : Johan Cruyff, Pelé, Ronaldo the real one and... Chris Waddle.
The walls, the closet... and the shelves. We are definitely thinking about all the interior furniture with a new So Foot magazine in a very limited edition: the Special Edition 100% Eto'o in 50 copies only.
Photos
Cristiano Ronaldo , do you remember ? Yes, the one that is currently being talked about for a few petrodollars in Saudi Arabia. Are you putting it back? Well, do you remember his return? But yes, the one registered on April 3, 2018! With Real Madrid... against Juventus (3-0). It was a quarter-final first leg of the Champions League and a photographer from our agency Icon Sport captured the moment. Stunning, isn't it ?
Another time, other customs. We could October 2002 take off your jersey without risking getting a yellow card. Reason why Ronnie did not hesitate to celebrate with dignity in front of his supporters his double for his first match against the Olympian rival (3-0 final victory) . And what a first! A free kick between a forest of guiboles, a converted penalty and some blind pass, Ronaldinho took control of the match. Leaving his opponents silent, his coach full of joy and his mouth all smiles
This photograph captures the very essence of winter and amateur football . The extreme climatic conditions create a breathtaking landscape, reinforced by the contrast between the immaculate banks of keys and the surrounding nature as if frozen, immobile. The center of Lilleshall , a sort of English INSEP, is an emblematic place for football in England, and this photograph from winter 1999 (colors of the sky, daylight and reflections on the tree) are the vibrant testimony.
The contrast of the jersey colors is striking in this legendary photo of the PSG-FC Nantes match on August 19, 1994. In the photo, we can obviously see the handsome David Ginola in blue and red, but also Christian Karembeu and Serge Le Dizet in yellow and green, all preparing to receive the corner. That day, the Canaries won by a short header on their lawn against Paris SG of El Magnifico. The score: 1 to 0. The scorer: Patrice Loko, future PSG recruit called to compensate for the departure of... David Ginola.
T-shirts
We said it. It's spring. If you don't want to get a mullet, we just suggest you wear one on your chest. Not that of Tony Vairelles, who will arrive very soon (big tease), but that of an English expatriate in the South of France: Chris Waddle, Marseille Olympic era. Classy in Dallas!
He never had a mullet, just a tuft on the front of his head (we'll let you decide which of the two is worse). On this beautiful textile, Ronaldo, the real one, is 17 years old. He plays for Cruzeiro and will soon walk the world. Reason why he would be called a few months later upon his arrival in Europe, at PSV Eindhoven, “Il Fenomeno”.
He had several nicknames. The best known, the one that sticks best to the oranje t-shirt, is the “Flying Dutchman”. Cruyff was also called the “Prince of Amsterdam” when he played for Ajax Amsterdam. “El Salvador” or “El Flaco” when he played for FC Barcelona. On our boutique.so, it will just be “Johan”.
He, finally, was called by his nickname. Because his name was too long: Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé. The King, who died on December 19 at the age of 82, deserved a small textile tribute. Under his first name: Edson.
